Nail Must Haves

Perfect nails are hard to do with the easy smudging, thin coats and unsteady hands. Here are a few products that will give you that straight-from-the-salon look:

Favorite Nail polish ever: Sally Hansen Insta Dry. It has a wide brush, pigmented formula and is super cheap too!

Most used Nail product ever: OPI Drying Drops. One or two drops make your nails dry to touch in 30 seconds, and hard in 2 minutes. They can be costly at $14 a bottle, but last a while.

Tips for doing nails:
-Remove polish
-Wash hand with warm water and soak to open cuticles
-File nails (in one direction so nails do not break)
-Push back cuticles
-Use a base coat and leave still for one minute
-Put on one or two coats of any color polish
-Add a top coat
-Add drying drops
-After 1 or 2 minutes, run cold water over nails to seal in color
-Lastly, when polish is completely dry use a q-tip to remove smudges

Hair Number Dos

Putting your hair "up"- sounds easy right? It is, if you know how.
The Cheer Pony

Brush through hair completely (skip this for curly). Add smoothing creme or serum. Flip head upside down and smooth hair w/ your hands. Feel any bumps? Brush through upside down. Flip head up and decide how high you want it. Take an elastic, tie it around the base and..... perfect!

The "pouf"

Brush through hair. Add smoothing cream. Fin a center part in your hair w/ a rat-tail comb. Brush hair back and grab a small section of hair that would fall in the front of your face. Pull it backwards and push forward on top of your head until you have enough volume. Clip with any cute clip or a few bobby pins. Spray ze hair and finished!

Classic Work Up-Do

Brush hair and pull back. Decide whether you are looking for a loose or tight bun. Twist hair at the nape of your neck and roll into a bun pushing upwards. Secure with bobby pins or clip.
Alternative: Twist hair and simply clip it. Pull a few strands of hair from the up-do or put on a headband.

What do YOU want?

Hey :) I have tons to write about.... but not sure what you guys want. I could do beauty... fashion.... hair.... ect! Comment below and LMK what YOU ant to see :)

Haiiiiiiiiiiiir (For girls)

Hair is probably the most challenging part of beauty. No matter what texture, length or cut you have you will NEVER be satisfied. My mom, being a ex-beauticean knows a lot about hair and has taught me over the years how to deal with it. Here is the first daily tip
Love your natural hair:
Have curly hair? Stick with it. Straight? Keep it that way. Wavy? Do the same. No matter what or who does your hair, it will ALWAYS look fake when it is trying to be something its not. The fluorescent lights at school are practically built to show flaws and frizz and the succeed in doing so.

Fall Fashion 2009

Woohoo! I am so excited to put away those crappy Old Navy flip-flops and take out my Converse, Uggs and more! We all know we don't want to wear what the runway models are wearing, just something inspired by them. For instance:

[JC de Castelbajac's new models from Paris]
I think we all want something a little closer to the normal society, right? Well here are a few Fall 2009 trends from not models, but celebs inspired by them.

Purple!!!! It is absolutely the hottest color of the season. Whether it be on your nails, bangles or boots, it works!

[Hayden Panitiere]

Lauren Conrad shows two trends at once with flawless skin and  a belted dress. Perfect skin with a subtle glow and belted shirts, tops and dresses were among the hottest trends at fashion week.

Leggings, a scarf and long tees/short dresses make for a casual outfit to school or the mall. You could do this with a pair of converse or heels for a greater effect. Hilary duff doesn't over do it by making sure her outfit, scarf and shoes perfectly match
.

Where do I get these? I am going to share with you my ultra amazing secret- You have most of it!!! All of these styles come from previous years of fashion, just added with some cute accessories. I for one, can't afford brand new clothes at all now, so either borrow from a sis, a friend or just make  new outfits by combining pieces in the back of your wardrobe with the ones from last fall. Have a few extra dollars? Buy accessories you can wear daily like necklaces or earrings from Forever 21! Any questions? Email me or leave a comment :)
